2 DOOR STRONGHOLD

Most one-man tents live with one door, one vestibule, and a constant crawl over your own gear. The Solitude 1P gives you two full doors, one on each side, so you can store gear on one, exit on the other.

MORE ROOM WHERE IT COUNTS

Smart geometry adds extra head and foot room, while steep sidewalls maximize shoulder space—so you can move, stretch, and sleep without feeling boxed in.

Not Bear Proof

The first couple of days worked well….right up to the point the grizzly got to it😫

It is good in the wind, goes up & down fast and is really compact. It is now my favorite tent for back country hunts. I’ll try to keep my second tent away from grizzlies!!!

Perfect Minimal Backcountry Solo Tent

I've been using several tent designs over the years, primarily Hilleberg tents. The move to Peax was to reduce the weight in my overall pack, and a tent design that keeps the moisture from building up around the bottom corners of the tent. The design features several elements reminiscent of larger tents, providing ample headroom to sit up in (valuted ceiling), crucial for waiting out a storm. The head and foot box design offers extra space near these areas, keeping the water shed away from your body. Ensure you have at least one trekking pole for the crossbar to the upper part of the tent, which provides the main structure for tightening everything down. The drawstring is very innovative for strapping the tent trim closer to the ground and securing any space around the edges—crucial for keeping in heat and keeping the wind at bay. The one improvement I'd suggest, given that all the components are single in nature, is to create the main tent bag longer to fit the poles, even though it might add a little bit of "weight." If you are running the shelter only, I'd suggest using a floor to protect the sleeping pad. The inside gear storage area is LARGE, allowing me to fit my entire kit —backpack, bow or rifle, accessories —within it, while keeping the sleeping area clear. Overall, very impressed as a backcountry hunter who is weight-conscious with gear choices.

Lots of room

Just picked this up for my solo 2025 elk bender. Have only set it up in the yard, but it has plenty of room, love the area for gear inside. Ready to put it to the test in a few weeks.

Perfect!

The perfect tent for 1 person. Easy to setup, nice and light. Lots of room inside for the small footprint. What more can you ask for except maybe some stickers with your order!
