This is by far the best shelter system I have ever used over the course of a 14 day backcountry elk hunt. It is exceptionally quick and easy to setup, and when the forecast calls for 1-3mm of rain and you get 61-63mm instead, the wood stove compatibility ended saving my hunt. Running the tipi floor-less was great for hunting partner who happens to be a german shepherd, and it really gave me a greater sense of connectivity to Mother Earth. When PEAX says they want you to “Thrive on the Mountain”, they truly mean it!! Next up.. 10 day fall bear hunt!!

Can't recommend the solitude 4 enough!

Just wrapped up a 3 day archery hunt with my new Solitude 4. This tent was simply amazing. I was already well versed in its design features, functionality, etc. from the reviews I watched before my purchase. However, until you actually see, feel and experience it first hand, you cannot fully appreciate the thought, creativity, attention to detail and quality that are built into this tent. One example of undescribed yet appreciated detail was the reflective materials woven into the guy lines. Hit it with a headlamp in the dark and it lights up like a Christmas tree. No more tripping at night and easy to spot when returning after dark. Anyway, think you get the point. I am sure that there are other goodies that await to discover during the next outing. It was truly a treat to see a premium product finally live up to the hype and actually exceed it. Bravo! I cannot wait for the Torrid stove to be available again as if the tent is this impressive, I am sure that I will also be blown away by the stove!

I researched many tents and asked all my backcountry friends before choosing the tent for me. After numerous hours and living in the peax website I chose the solitude 4. Upon receiving it I couldn’t be happier with it after simply setting it up in the yard. My first outing will in 5 weeks and I can’t wait to put it to the test in 7 mile backcountry hunt. I will refer my friends and have a couple coming over to soon to look at and get ready to order theirs.

Got to use the tipi for the first time this weekend. Easily fitted 3 of us with gear. Felt very spacious. Rained most of the night, no problems at all. Can’t wait for the torrid stove to get back in stock!
